Tune in for this year's virtual Seedtime on the Cumberland, our music festival and a staple for mountain arts & culture, on Saturday, June 5th!

Virtual performances will stream from the Appalshop theater and locations around the South online.

Since we started our annual music festival in 1986, Seedtime on the Cumberland has showcased the vibrancy of mountain arts & culture. This year's lineup will take place from 12-7 pm, and feature live performances from artists like:

12 pm — Sparky & Rhonda Rucker

2 pm — Feufollet

4 pm — Po' Ramblin' Boys

6 pm — And of course, our traditional punk show with sets by L.I.P.S., Globsters, and Tommy Anderson.

Plus recordings from the Appalshop Archive collection, readings from the Southern Appalachian Writers Cooperative, a virtual gallery tour with work by Appalshop Creators Fund recipients, and tributes to artists we lost during COVID like Lee Sexton.

Seedtime — which is and always will be free to the public — will stream on Vimeo. You can watch it directly there, or on this page at the video above. Or listen to the festival through our radio station, WMMT 88.7 FM!

More information about each of the performances is  available at @appalshop on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Don't forget to join us on Monday June 7th for a special virtual panel with alumni of our Appalachian Media Institute and the director of a new film, "Holler," about a young woman's struggle to go off to school. Preview the film during Seedtime weekend, and register for the panel here.

We'll see you virtually at Seedtime!
